KADMAT Island - (LAKSHADWEEP)
Located 407 kms. from Cochin, the land area of Kadmat is 8 Km long and 550 m wide at its broadest point.

The island has a particularly fine lagoon of even depth and an endless shoreline that is perfect for swimming. Adventurers can indulge in scuba diving, wind surfing, and parasailing. If you prefer, kayaks, pedal boats, sailing yachts, skiing boats and glass bottom boats are also available for hire. The locale, its sparse population, and solitude make it an ideal haven to commune with nature.

It is the only island in Lakshadweep with lagoons on both eastern and western sides.
The island is a popular destination for honeymooners. It was the recipient of the National Eco-Tourism Awards 1997. It offers a natural heritage of ecology with its rich maritime wealth, pristine beaches and lagoons.
