Bask in the glory of the city that once was the capital of the world's most powerful empire. Don't miss the Vatican, the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum and the Pantheon as you re-live history just like Caesar did.

Monumental Rome (LCIV-1)
Visit the Caracalla Baths, Circus Maximum, Lungoteveri, Coliseum, Imperial Forum, Piazza Venezia and Piazza Repubblica before arriving at Trevi Fountain. Then, take a walk to Trevi Fountain, one of the masterpieces of the Baroque Rome, to Piazza Colonna and the Pantheon.

After a hearty lunch, proceed to the Vatican City and stop by at the Basilica of St. Peter’s, the largest and most famous basilica in the world where you will be awed by the art masterpieces covering almost two thousand years of history.

Orientation Rome (LCIV-2)
Explore the classic archeological sector of Rome that used to be the centre of ancient Rome’s political, social and religious life. Visit includes The Coliseum, Arch of Constantine, The Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia, The Capitoline Hill, remains of Marcello Theatre, the famous Mouth of the Truth Tiberine Island, Temple of Vesta and Portunus, Circus Maximum, Caracalla Baths, Piazza Repubblica, the elegant Via Veneto, Villa Borghese park and last but not the least, a glance of Via Conciliazione with St. Peter’s Basilica at the background.

Ancient Ostia (LCIV-3)
Ostia was once a commercial town and also a military base for the defense of Rome. Admire the ruins of temples dedicated to the local, Oriental and Egyptian Gods brought in by traders, ship owners, craftsmen and workers. Ostia witnesses today the greatness of the Roman Empire and shows us the organization of public and private life of an important Roman town. Visit includes the Neptune Baths, the Theatre, the Temple of Roma and Augusto and the Forum which is the main monument of the town dating back to the II century A.C.

Pedestrian Rome (LCIV-4)
Walk through the town and visit places such as The Coliseum, Arch of Constantine, Tito Arch, The Roman Forum, Venice Square, Palazzo Venezia, Piazza del Campidoglio and Senatorio Palace. Next, proceed to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna and Barcaccia fountain. After that, take a drive along Villa Borghese Park and the Lungotevere before departing the city. You will be able to admire Castel Sant’ Angelo and also view the Via Conciliazione with St.Peter’s Basilica at the background.

Rome and the Vatican (LCIV-5)
The tour started from the Vatican Museums where you will be awed by the masterpieces of the Egyptian, Etruscan, Roman, Middle Age, Renaissance and Baroque periods, not to mention works by Raffaello, Caravaggio and Canova. Head to the Sistine Chapel, which is the venue of the Conclaves of Papal elections. Here resides one of the most splendid masterpieces in the history of art – the famous ceiling by Michelangelo which took over 4 years to be completed. Proceed with a drive through the Eternal City passing by Lungoteveri, Villa Borghese Park, Piazza Barberini with the Triton Fountain, Santa Maria Maggiore and San Giovanni in Laterano.

After lunch, continue with a scenic drive through the archaeological part of Rome – the Coliseum, Via Fori Imperialli, Piazza Venezia, Marcello Theatre, Tiberine Island and arrive at the Vatican for a visit to the Basilica of St. Peter.

Rome On Your Own (LCIV-6)
Discover Rome on your own! Maps and general information will be provided. The tour bus will stop at Gianicolo parking place, in the Vatican area.

Tarots Garden (LCIV-7)
Take a scenic drive along the Tyrrenian coast and arrive at the Tarots Garden which was built by Niki de Saint Phalle in the Seventies. After that, explore the little medieval village of Capalbio perched on the top of a hill overlooking the beautiful Maremma countryside.

Vatican Gardens, Sistine Chapel & St. Peter’s (LCIV-8)

Explore the Vatican Gardens which is home to many important works of art and architecture. Proceed through a stair ramp to the infamous Sistine Chapel – the celebrated Chapel of Popes and venue of the Conclaves for Papal elections. View the famous ceiling by Michelangelo which took more than 4 years to be completed. Next, head towards St. Peter’s Basilica, the biggest church in the world overlooking the enormous Piazza San Pietro and enjoy a typical Italian lunch served in a local restaurant before proceeding for a panoramic drive through the main streets of Rome.
